The solution has features to support basic clinical workflow, and specialty specialty specific assessment. SOAP format note taking is supported that can be customized for speciality templates. The application is easy to use for patients. Type of interaction supported is not completely synchronous as third party integration is done for making calls and not within the platform. Doctors can interact with patients in both synchronous and synchronous manner; The solution provides interaction in video and audio using zoom or google meet. Solution allows doctors to take private notes. Platform supported prescriptions writing has scanned signatures. Admin role there to manage the queue. Prescription generated by platform includes details like Registered medical Practitioner’s name, Registered medical Practitioner’s Qualification, Registration number. The complete audit trail of data recording and editing is maintained. Prescribing of restricted drugs is not restricted as drugs are entered using the master. Doctors could customize the master database as the solution is not having any integrated customized database. Platform enables doctors to record consultations. The solution has provision to exchange data. It is claimed that the solution has integration of SNOMED CT for clinical finding, ICD-10 for diagnosis and LOINC for observations codes in diagnostic reports.
Patient side of the interface provides login for booking appointments, keywords based doctor search facility , guided searching of doctors. Prescription is shared with the patient and uploaded in the patient’s account for future use. Patients have the facility to upload documents and enter vitals which doctors can access. The patients do not have control over past records in terms of sharing data across providers and doctors can share data within the hospital. Application supports multi party calling making it suitable for multiple doctors in the call simultaneously (for multidisciplinary care and discussions). Platform facilitates multiple caregivers (circle of care) to participate in the same call. It also allows them to take appointments on behalf of family members / loved ones. Platform also respects family members / loved ones/autonomy as it gives them control over managing their records. Patients have control over sharing and accessing their records.
In terms of compliance, application providers verify doctors’ government ID. Doctor details including registration details are mentioned. Consent for doctor-patient interaction is explicit for each encounter, but reminded to the doctor as a checklist and they are responsible. Scanned paper / image upload of consent, consent also has guidelines on tele consultation preparation.
